Pennygum is in the centre from which to explore the Southern Drakensberg of South Africa. It is just 6.4km from Underberg, on Penny Lane off the Drakensberg Gardens Road.

Barden cottages

Located on a beautiful setting with magnificent views of the mountains and a peaceful country atmosphere.

Family Cottage

With own entrance and private garden area. It has three double bedrooms and a dormitory room in the loft which sleeps 4 people. All beds have electric heat blankets in winter. The cottage has two bathrooms and a modern open-plan kitchen. The lounge / dining room has a log fireplace and a television, and dvd facilities. Enjoy a weber type braai on the covered verandah with magnificent berg views.

African Dreams Thatch Cottage

Very tastefully decorated and sleeps four under the comfort and atmosphere of a thatched roof. It has a double bedroom with en-suite, a second bathroom with corner bath, an open plan lounge with sleeper couch and fireplace and kitchen. It is fully equipped for self catering. There is a television with dvd and a music centre, and all beds have electric blankets in winter. The cottage has a covered patio with braai and is nestled under oak trees in its own private garden. The view of Giants Cup from this cottage is breathtaking.

Lavender Cottage

Is attractively decorated and sleeps two adults and a young child. It is fully equipped for self catering and has a shower room. The cottage has television with dvd facilities and electric blankets in winter. The cottage leads out onto a private garden with bench and braai facilities.

All linen and towels are provided.

On offer are breakfast and dinners.

River Rafting and Tubing adventures from Pennygum. All necessary equipment including lifejackets and helmets are provided.

Access to a riverfront picnic spot where guests can swim and enjoy the pristine and clean waters of the Umzimkulu River.
