Johannesburg is however unexpectedly green and orientated towards outdoor living. It has a wealth of trees creating an 'urban forest', and many of the trees are located in the 2328 parks in and around the city and Gauteng province.


ELLIS Park Stadium is located in South Park Road in Doornfontein, Johannesburg. To get to the stadium, you should use the park and ride service provided. Still under construction is the Gautrain project, an 80-kilometre mass rapid transit railway system. It will link Johannesburg, Pretoria, and OR Tambo International Airport. This railway will relieve the traffic congestion in the Johannesburg - Pretoria traffic corridor and offer commuters a viable alternative to road transport, as Johannesburg has limited public transport infrastructure.
