The Hansgrohe Masters of Water - Final Stage
The Durban stage is the final after the two other stages held in Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. It is here where the Master of Water will be crowned.
After the first successful event, Hansgrohe continues to build on this annual event with the aim to promote training and development in this volunteer sport.
Hansgrohe invites 31 top lifesaving athletes from across the country to participate and compete at an international level in 2 main categories; beach and surf. The events include beach flags, sprints, swim, board, ski and the iron man challenge.
Hansgrohe and Lifesaving SA are enthusiastic to also involve future lifesavers and have therefore included ‘Nippers’ in the 2010 Series. 40 Young and eager trainee lifesavers aged between 12 and 14 years old will be on the beach from 09h00 to compete in 4 events; body board, Malibu board, beach sprints and beach flags, in addition receiving further mentorship from the 31 top athletes competing.
Bring along your beach towel and sunscreen to Kings Beach and join in the afternoon of lifesaving fun.
